RESUMEN

El objetivo del presente texto es elaborar una topografía preliminar sobre algunas de las principales constelaciones del pensamiento nor-occidental del siglo 20, que han intentado analizar el fenómeno urbano desde el terreno de las ciencias sociales. Por ello, en la primera parte, se han seleccionado cuatro hitos de importancia en el desarrollo del pensamiento sobre la ciudad: La Escuela de Chicago, La Escuela francesa de sociología urbana, la Nueva Geografía y la Ciudad Informacional. En el segundo acápite se ahonda en algunos de los tópicos que dan cuenta de la profunda transformación del espacio urbano en el marco de la posurbanidad, planteando una serie de interrogantes que buscan caracterizar la ciudad del capitalismo tardío.

ABSTRACT

The present text objective is elaborate a preliminary topography on some of the main 20 century nor-western thought focus, that have tried to analyze urban phenomenon from social sciences position. For this, in the first part, four landmarks of importance in the thought on the city development have been selected: The School from Chicago, The French School of urban sociology, the New Geography and the Informational City. In the second part are deepened in some topics that realize the urban space deep transformation in posurban frame, expounding a series of queries they aim to characterize the global capitalism city.
