RESUMEN

El autor pretende dar una visión histórica del nacimiento, crecimiento y consolidación de las Tribus Urbanas en Santiago de Chile en el período mencionado. Para lograr dicho objetivo hace un recuento temporal de la conformación socio-espacial de Santiago durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX. El autor define y caracteriza a las distintas Tribus Urbanas que pueblan la capital y hurga en sus antecedentes estéticos, musicales y tecnológicos para explicar su consolidación. Por otra parte y complementando lo anterior el autor discute la ideología de la “seguridad ciudadana” que genera un discurso en torno a estos grupos, estigmatizándolos.

ABSTRACT

The author seeks to give a historical vision of the birth, growth and consolidation of the Urban Tribes in Santiago from Chile in the mentioned period. In order to achieve this objective he makes a temporary recount of the partner-space conformation of Santiago during the second half of the XX century. The author defines and characterizes the different Urban Tribes that t populate the capital and seek in their aesthetic, musical and technological antecedents in order to explain their consolidation. On the other hand and supplementing the above-mentioned the author discuss the ideology of the "civic security" that generate a speech around these groups, stigmatizing them
