RESUMEN

La Agricultura Urbana surge como potencial plataforma de desarrollo local y comunitario, asumiendo el desafío de estructurar sinergias y complementariedad entre la recuperación de los recursos del hábitat y la creación de actividades productivas agro-culturales, generando un encadenamiento operativo de la dimensión ecológica, económica y social del concepto de sustentabilidad. A través del Paisaje, como disciplina analítica y proyectual del territorio, es hora de explorar nuevas formas de hacer ciudad, para generar –desde las potencialidades, intereses y aspiraciones de la comunidad local– un efectivo entrelazamiento entre la recuperación físico-ambiental del espacio urbano y periurbano, y la inclusión al ámbito ciudadano de los grupos sociales en condiciones de pobreza que habitan este contexto.

Mediante la revisión de experiencias recopiladas, a continuación se argumentan los alcances socio-económicos y ecológico-paisajísticos de la Agricultura Urbana , construyendo una base referencial que permita luego su posible aplicabilidad a través de Proyectos de Paisaje en el contexto de nuestras ciudades contemporáneas.

  

ABSTRACT

Urban Agriculture arises like potential local and communitarian development platform, assuming the challenge to structure sinergias and complementariness between habitat resources recovery and the creation of agro-cultural productive activities, generating an operative linking of the ecological, economic and social dimension of the sustainability concept. Through Landscape it is hour to explore new forms to make city, in order to conceive – from the potentialities, I interest and aspirations of the local community – an effective interweaving between the physical-environmental recovery of urban and periurban space, and the inclusion to the citizen scope of the social groups in conditions of poverty that inhabit this context.

By making a revision of compiled experiences, this article argue the socioeconomic and ecological-landscaping reaches of Urban Agriculture, constructing a referential base that allows its possible applicability through Landscape Projects in the context of our contemporary cities.
