RESUMEN

Se presenta, en primer lugar, los contextos en los que Maquiavelo utiliza la palabra educación, relacionándolos con los conceptos centrales de su corpus político. En segundo lugar, se expone algunas de las más importantes interpretaciones respecto a estos conceptos, intentando remarcar su doble vinculación, por una parte con la política y por otra con la ciudad. Con esto, el autor espera mostrar que es este vínculo el elemento central que define la función de la educación. A partir de esta definición se elabora una idea más acabada de lo que Maquiavelo entiende por ella. En tercer lugar, a partir de la tensión entre lo político y lo urbano, que en Kant llega a convertirse en diferencia entre el concepto de burgués y ciudadano, el autor muestra la visión integral de los ámbitos previamente descritos, conforme al pensamiento de Maquiavelo. Finalmente se presenta la dilución de esta visión en la época moderna y contemporánea.

ABSTRACT

it is showing up, in first place, the contexts in those Maquiavelo uses the word education, relating them with the central concepts of its political corpus. In second place, it is exposed some of the most important interpretations regarding these concepts, trying to stress their double linking, on one hand with the politics and for another with the city. With this, the author hopes to show it is this link the central element that defines the function of the education. Starting from this definition a completed idea of what Maquiavelo understands of it is elaborated. In third place, starting from the tension among the political thing and the urban thing that end up transforming into difference among the concept of bourgeois and civic in Kant, the author shows the integral vision of previously described environments, according to Maquiavelo thought. Finally it shows up the dilution of this vision in modern and contemporary time.
