ABSTRACT

Since its inception, the cinema has managed to express, in a remarkable way, the life and architecture of the city. These representations, whether documentary or fictional, are intrinsically related to the context in which they occur. These are clear reflection of the urban world, its landscape, its people and their life ... Thus films became a 'mirror' of the city. Urban images created by filmmakers have, undoubtedly, influenced and determined our perception of the city -not only in its various historical moments, but also in the inhabitants relationship with it-, being largely responsible for how we imagine, create and remember the city today.
