RESUMEN

Exploración respecto al uso de colores como medio de expresión y percepción en el paisaje urbano. De acuerdo al autor, los colores son utilizados actualmente en todos los elementos que forman parte de la vida cotidiana, cumpliendo una vasta pluralidad de funciones.

En la arquitectura del paisaje, así como en la arquitectura,  el color no es una entidad por sí misma - su uso está determinado por factores culturales y simbólicos que perfilan su presencia e incidencia en el espacio,  el tiempo y el entorno. En el marco del proceso de diseño, el color permite dar expresión a la forma del objeto  y configurar  su percepción. Se examina la relación con aspectos sicológicos y culturales de la percepción, en cuanto permiten obtener una expresión estética específica y única para el diseñador.

ABSTRACT

Exploration regarding use of colors likes medium of expression and perception in urban landscape. According to author, at the moment colors are used in all elements part of daily life, completing a vast plurality of functions.

In landscape architecture, as well as in the architecture, the color is not an entity for itself - its use is determined by cultural and symbolic factors that profile its presence and incidence in the space, the time and the environment. In the framework of design process, color allows give expression to the form of the object and to configure its perception. The relationship with psychological and cultural aspects of the perception, as soon as they allow obtaining a specific aesthetic expression for the designer is examined.
