Resumen
La implementación de proyectos de infraestructura vial experimentada en la ciudad de Santiago de Chile ha generado externalidades negativas que afectan en diversos grados los barrios por los que atraviesan. Si bien, no son el origen de estas problemáticas, no logran contribuir al desarrollo de los territorios. Actualmente, la industria de las concesiones y el Estado disminuyen los impactos de la infraestructura a través de la lógica de las mitigaciones. Proyectos que aprovechen el espacio aéreo de la autopista, sumados a una activa participación de la comunidad en la definición programática en estos, se vislumbran como posibles perspectivas para un desarrollo urbano que afecte positivamente a las comunidades, de la mano de la infraestructura vial de escala metropolitana.

Abstract
The implementation of road infrastructure projects experienced in the city of Santiago, Chile has generated negative externalities in varying degrees affect the neighborhoods that traverse. While they are not the source of these problems, fail to contribute to the development of the territories.
Currently, concessions industry and state reduce the impacts of infrastructure through the logic of the mitigations. Projects that use the airspace of the highway, added to the active participation of the community in these programmatic definition, are seen as potential prospects for urban development positively affecting communities hand of the road infrastructure of metropolitan scale.
