RESUMEN

Se provee una breve visión histórica y genealógica sobre la formación disciplinaria del Diseño Urbano. Complementariamente se presentan antecedentes de su formalización institucional en el ámbito académico, profesional y del dominio público. Finalmente se señala algunas de las principales áreas generadoras de demandas de Diseño Urbano en el contexto del accionar de la ciudad

 

ABSTRACT

A short historical and genealogical view about Urban Design's disciplinary foundation is provided. Complementarily, antecedents of the Urban Design' s institutionalization in the academic, professional, and public realms, are presented. Finally, some of the main areas which generates demands of Urban design within the context of city functioning are pointed out.
