RESUMEN 

La ciudad de Santiago no fue construida en un erial. Fue construida sobre un gran valle habitado por la cultura Inca. Una red de caminos, canales de regadío, chacras, poblados, sitios sagrados, etc. formaban una compleja trama.

Casi todos los vestigios de este pasado fueron sistemáticamente borrados. Santiago pareciera ser una ciudad sin pasado. Pero los vestigios están ahí y todavía es posible rescatarlos.

Sitios como el Pucará de Chena revelan una riqueza insospechada. Santiago podría entonces recuperar su pasado.

 

ABSTRACT

Santiago was not built on a wasteland. It was built on a big valley inhabited by the Inca culture. A network of roads, irrigation channels, farms, Towns, sacred places, etc. they formed a complex plot.

Almost all the traces of this past were systematically erased. Santiago seem to be a city without past. But the traces are there and it is even possible to rescue them.

Places as the “Pucará de Chena” reveal an unsuspected wealth. Santiago would be able then to recover its past.
