RESUMEN

Este trabajo aborda la revisión de algunos aspectos significativos del legado patrimonial de los espacios de la muerte, como expresión urbanística en la transición colonial-republicana de la ciudad de Santiago. En esta perspectiva se considera la forma en que se proyecta en la actualidad este legado, en algunas trasformaciones urbanas recientes y otras en ejecución y que pretenden incorporar ciertos valores patrimoniales en su diseño.

ABSTRACT

This work reviews some significant aspects of the patrimonial legacy of the spaces of death, as urbanistical expressions of the colonial-republican transition in the city of Santiago . It examines from this perspective, the way in wich this legacy is projected at the present time, in reference to some recent urban trasformation as well as to others which are under execution, so long as they entend to incorporate certain patrimonial values in their design.
