RESUMEN 

Este proyecto de investigación explora un campo temático de cierta tradición en la urbanística moderna que busca ciertas definiciones doctrinarias, sobre como administrar las relaciones entre la ciudad (como obra humana o artificio) y la naturaleza. Este es un tema abordado por la ecología humana y urbana, que se desarrolla en la primera mitad del siglo XX y se retoma en la nueva ecología urbana, tal como la postula Bettini y los denominados "ecourbanistas", en esta época de cambio de siglo. En este marco de referencia se revisan algunos antecedentes sobre el proceso de transformación del paisaje en el entorno inmediato de la aglomeración santiaguina. Se discuten además, algunas implicancias analíticas en el proceso de planeamiento territorial, ambiental y urbanístico en la perspectiva de introducción de innovaciones de modernidad que afectan la preservación del patrimonio natural y cultural del asentamiento metropolitano. La investigación se focaliza en el estudio y evaluación de una experiencia histórica de planeamiento territorial y urbano y las ideas o conceptos que orientaron su formulación: el área suburbana (o cinturón verde) del Plan Intercomunal de Santiago (1960)

 

ABSTRACT

A thematic field with certain tradition in the modern urbanism wich looks for some doctrinary definitions about the way to manage the relationship between the city (as a human piece of work) and the nature is explored by this research project. This is a subject takled by the urban and human Ecology, wich is developed in the first half of the XX century and it is taken up again in the new human ecology, just as Bettini and the so-called “ecourbanists” postulate in this transcentury time. In this reference frame some backgrounds to the landscape transformation process in the crowdedness immediate surroundings of Santiago are revised. Besides, some analytical subjects in the process of territorial, environmental and urbanistic design are discussed in the perspective of the modernity innovations introduction affecting the preservation of the natural cultural heritage of the metropolitan settlement. The research relies on the basis of the study and evaluation of a territorial and urban design historic expirience and the ideas or concepts that led it foundation: the suburban area (or green belt) of the intertown planning of Santiago .
