RESUMEN

La Región Metropolitana se encuentra expuesta a un proceso de expansión territorial el cual se está manifestando bajo la construcción de tipologías periféricas.
Estas tipologías son consecuencia de un proceso social, político y económico, lo cual ha modificado, sobretodo en estos últimos 30 años, el entendimiento y vinculación entre lo rural y lo urbano, así como del paisaje cultural generado.
Sin embargo, lo rural y lo urbano se consideran como fenómenos independientes y disociativos, así como también con respecto a la carga identitaria arraigada en el valor del paisaje. Esto  trae como consecuencia la desvalorización del paisaje como un elemento integrador socio espacial de esta nueva periferia.
Debido a esto, es que se pretende en esta investigación poner en valor el paisaje, haciéndolo parte de este proceso expansivo como soporte de un constructo social integrador de una periferia por consolidar

ABSTRACT
The Metropolitan Region is exposed to a process of territorial expansion which is showing under the construction of outlying typologies.

Those typologies are consequence of a social, political and economic process, which has modified in these last 30 years overalls, the understanding and linking between the rural thing and the urban thing, as well as the cultural landscape generated.
However, the rural thing and the urban thing are considered as independent and dissociate phenomena, as well as with regard to the identity load rooted in the value of the landscape, as well as also with regard to the identity load rooted in the value of the landscape. This results in the devaluation of the landscape like a social space integrative element of this new periphery.

Due to this, it is sought in this investigation to put in value the landscape; making it part of this expansible process as support of a social integrative construct of a periphery to consolidate.
