RESUMEN

El siguiente texto presenta el enunciado de investigación del proyecto “Cartografías de ciudad. Discursos, culturas y representaciones urbanas en Santiago. 1990-2000. Entre el orden y la fragmentación”, financiado por la Vicerrectoría Académica de la Universidad Central. En términos operativos, el documento presenta el enunciado general del proyecto de investigación, más una profundización en los aspectos relacionados con el encuadre metodológico y teórico en que se sustenta la propuesta investigativa. En este sentido, las temáticas abordadas en el presente texto buscan dotar de mayor claridad, y si se quiere, profundidad, a la exposición de las herramientas metodológicas y a la generación y aplicación de nuevos códigos de lectura, que permiten dar cuenta del acelerado proceso de cambios de la ciudad contemporánea, en particular de Santiago de Chile, en la última década. Por ello, es éste un documento de discusión, que permite situar la postura epistemológica de los investigadores, desde al análisis e interpretación del hecho urbano en el marco de los discursos críticos de raigambre posmoderna, con un importante énfasis en el ejercicio transdisciplinario.

 

ABSTRACT

The following paper presents the research statement of the project “City Cartographies. Discourses, cultures and urban representations in Santiago 1990-2000. Between order and disintegration”, financed by the Academic Vice rectory of the Universidad Central. In terms of operativity, the paper presents as well as the general statement of the research project and also an analysis of the methodologic and theoretical framework-related aspects on wich the research proposal relies on. In such sense, the subjects studied in the current text pursue a best clarity, and if you will, a depth account of the methodologic tools and the creation and application of new interpretation codes, wich allows a report of the accelerated change process of the contemporary city, particularly Santiago de Chile, in the last decade. Thus, this is a discussion document, making possible the identification of the researchers epistemological positions, from the analysis and interpretations of the urban phenomenon in the framework of the posmodern crtitic discourses, stressing the importance of the transdisciplinar practice.
