RESUMEN

En este trabajo se problematiza la existencia de dos enfoques para la noción de ‘ecología’ de la Escuela de Chicago, se comenta como un enfoque (ecología estable) logró preeminencia en los estudios urbanos por sobre el otro, las limitaciones que ofrecen y las críticas que  ha recibido y se plantea cómo, a partir de los estudios sobre movilidad e interacciones urbanas, es posible considerar un desarrollo del enfoque de ‘ecología inestable’.

ABSTRACT

This paper problematizes the existence of two approaches for the notion of 'ecology' of the Chicago School of Sociology. Discussed as an approach (stable ecology) achieved prominence in urban studies over the ‘unstable' version, limitations offered and the criticism has received and considers how, from urban mobility and interactions studies, is may consider a development for 'ecology unstable' approach.
