RESUMEN

De acuerdo con una operación de análisis factorial que utiliza descriptores urbanos, se intenta representar el proceso de formación y cambio social en el área metropolitana de Santiago. Se elabora una tipología básica de comunidades comunales y se distinguen diversos patrones de paisaje ecológico-demográfico. Estos expresan diversas formas transicionales de integración socio-cultural de la población. El análisis se sitúa en el contexto de la globalización y el escenario las innovaciones tecnológicas de comunicación y transporte urbanos

ABSTRACT

According an operation of factorial analysis, using urban descriptors, it is attempting to represent the process of formation and social change within Santiago metropolitan area. It was elaborated a basic typology of communal communities and differentiating various patterns of ecological-demographic landscapes. This patterns represent varying transitional forms of socio-cultural integration of population. The analysis has bee positioned in the context of globalization and the stage of technological innovation in communications and urban transport.
