RESUMEN

A través del dibujo, el autor reconstruye imaginativamente el espacio urbano sobre el que se insertaron aquellas arquitecturas ahora vestigiales de América Prehispánica y Colonial. Se reflexiona en cuanto a la función de los espacios urbanos y su relación espacial y visual frente a la arquitectura.  En un segundo momento, se reflexiona sobre la arquitectura que persiste en el tiempo, aquella que logra construir una identidad junto al entorno en el que se inserta, donde ambos elementos, edificio y contexto, se encuentran en una relación de reciprocidad. El autor, mediante un recorrido por la edilicia patrimonial americana, reflexiona finalmente respecto a aquellas lecciones que esta arquitectura puede entregarnos en el contexto del espacio urbano contemporáneo

ABSTRACT

Through drawing, the author imaginatively reconstructs urban space on which those now vestigial Prehispanic and Colonial America architectures were inserted. We reflect about the role of urban spaces and their spatial and visual relationship addressing architecture. In a second step, we examine architecture which persists over time, one who manages to construct an identity by the environment in which it is inserted, where both elements, building and context, are in a reciprocal relationship. The author, by a tour of the American heritage building finally reflects on those lessons that this architecture can deliver in the context of contemporary urban space
